Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell begin shooting for Apple original movie Spirited
Ryan Reynolds is having a massive summer between the release of The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (in which he stars alongside Salma Hayek and Samuel L. Jackson) and the upcoming release of Free Guy. In the time between those two releases, the actor has just started working with Will Ferrell on the Apple Original movie Spirited, which is a modern musical rendition of Charles Dickens' classic holiday story, A Christmas Carol. It looks like they’ve already broken the ice during their first day on set together.
The actor posted the image to Instagram, which features him wearing what appears to be AirPods while Ferrell gets a bit close for comfort, captioned, “Day 1 shooting with one of my comedy idols, Will Ferrell. You'd barely notice this was an Apple movie!”
Currently, no release date has been set but as per reports, the movie is said to be shooting from early July to late October and will film in a shopping center.
Before Spirited, Ryan Reynolds will star in Free Guy this August 13, and Ferrell is keeping busy with a host of other upcoming projects as well.
