South Korean actor Park Ji Hoon will return to the small screen with the upcoming drama Weak Hero and the makers have dropped two new chilling posters for the upcoming high school action drama.

According to Korean tabloid Soompi, based on the hit webtoon of the same name, Weak Hero stars Park Ji Hoon as Yeon Si Eun, a model student who excels at school but is physically frail—making him an easy target for bullies who are jealous of his top grades.

 

“Though Yeon Si Eun appears weak on the outside, he eventually uses his brain to win his battles as he fights back against the violence that unfolds both inside and outside of school along with his classmates Su Ho (Choi Hyun Wook) and Bum Seok (Hong Kyung).”

 

The newly unveiled posters feature Park Ji Hoon’s transformation into Yeon Si Eun. In the first poster, Yeon Si Eun gives a frightening, piercing gaze full of malice. Another chilling poster features Yeon Si Eun as he tightly grasps a brick in one hand. The texts on both posters chillingly read, “I asked you to stop.”

 

 

 

As per the report, the drama was recently invited to the On Screen section of this year’s Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) where the first three episodes were screened and was well received. Meanwhile, a representative of wavve shared, “The first set of posters put at the forefront Yeon Si Eun, who confronts violence in order to survive in the jungle-like school.”

 

They continued, “It is due to Park Ji Hoon’s acting skills that [viewers] can feel just through the posters that this is a differentiated story of weak hero Yeon Si Eun, who looks weak but has an expression and gaze that convey he will never be a pushover. Please look forward to the new challenge by Park Ji Hoon, who has tremendous talent for acting, as well as the ‘Weak Hero’ that he will depict.”
