We have rarely got a glimpse of Deepika Padukone in the past couple of months. After her Hollywood debut, the actress is neck deep in the gruelling schedule of Padmavati. But before her next Bollywood venture hits the silver screen, we will now get to see the actress in a small special appearance in Dinesh Vijan’s debut directorial Raabta.OMG! Earlier we had reported that when Dinesh approached Deepika Padukone for a small cameo the actress immediately agreed. Readers may be aware that the duo has worked in films like Love Aaj Kal and Cocktail and share a great rapport with each other. Hence, when the producer met up with her for a special song in his directorial, the actress gave her nod.

 

Talking about the same, Dinesh Vijan described Deepika Padukone as his lucky charm and added that their collaborations have often been successful. When he called her to talk about this cameo, he did mention that there was no compulsion but the actress not only agreed but also flew to Budapest immediately to complete the shoot.

 

Deepika Padukone will be seen in the remake of the song ‘Raabta’ (that originally featured in the Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Agent Vinod). The actress looks sizzling hot in the black avatar that was released today. Composed by Pritam, the lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and Irshad Kamil and the new version is sung by Arijit Singh and Nikita Gandhi.

 

Raabta stars Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead with Neerja fame Jim Sarbh playing a prominent role. It is produced by T-Series in association with Maddock and is slated to release on June 9.
