FICCI Frames 2024: Tanhaji and Adipurush director Om Raut to be one of the panellists for ‘Global Visionaries: Unleashing the Next 'Oppenheimer' in Cinema’ session

The month of March is here and it also means that it’s the time of FICCI Frames. The 2024 edition will take place from March 5 to 7 in a hotel in Mumbai and will be replete with some interesting sessions. Some of the most prominent names in the industry will grace these sessions and hence, it’s expected to be a memorable affair. One session that will stand out is ‘Global Visionaries: Unleashing the Next 'Oppenheimer' in Cinema’. One of the panellists for it is none other than Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior (2020) and Adipurush (2023) director, Om Raut.

The said session will take place on Wednesday, March 6. Besides Om Raut, it’ll be attended by Viacom18 Studios' Chief Operating Officer Ajit Andhare, National-Award-winning filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, Baahubali producer Shobu Yarlagadda, veteran producer Daggubati Suresh Babu, Turkish filmmaker and writer Stare Yildirim, Banijay Asia & EndemolShine India's Chief Development Officer Mrinalini Jain and Spain Film Commission president Carlos Rosado.

 

The description of the session is, “This session will delve into an electrifying exploration of cinematic innovation and creativity on a global scale. In this captivating session, we'll delve into the quest for the next 'Oppenheimer'—a visionary poised to redefine the cinematic landscape with unparalleled imagination and innovation. The session will uncover the unique blend of cultural richness and technological advancements that promise to shape ground-breaking narratives and captivate audiences worldwide. An immersive journey into the realms of imagination and cinematic brilliance as we embark on the search for the next game-changing talent in the world of film”.

 

Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan, was one of the biggest sensations of 2023. Despite a complex narrative and despite being an unconventional entertainer, it was the biggest Hollywood hit of India last year, beating massy films like Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning - Part One and Fast X.

 

Meanwhile, the inaugural session of FICCI Frames 2024 will be held on March 5 at 10:30 am. The inaugural address will be delivered by the chief minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde. Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, is the guest of honour while the special address will be given by Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukerji.

 

Rani Mukerji along with Imtiaz Ali, Ekta Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Richa Chadha, Sonakshi Sinha, Raj-DK, Anubhav Sinha, Vikramaditya Motwane, Aanand L Rai, Ayushmann Khurrana, Anjum Rajabali etc will grace the different sessions and panels that will take place over three days.
