EXCLUSIVE: “During the shoot of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in Scotland, there was a ghost in my hotel room. So I ran to Karan Johar’s room. He said it was my excuse to sleep in his room” – Farah Khan

Farah Khan completed 30 years in Bollywood on May 22. In these three decades, she has made an ever-lasting friendship with Shah Rukh Khan. Another celebrity with whom she has a strong bond is filmmaker Karan Johar. Farah talked about it and shared hilarious anecdotes during a recent exclusive Bollywood Hungama interview.

Karan Johar had recently revealed that he had fainted during the shoot of the song ‘Le Ja Le Ja’ from his second directorial, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001). Farah Khan added, “Yes, he fainted, that too on me. And he was very fat at that time while I was very thin. After fainting, he was absent for a day from the set and was instructing through some wireless device.”

 

Karan also revealed that Farah apparently was very happy that he was not on the set. Farah Khan laughed and said, “That’s how we both are. It’s a joke between us. For Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, I’ll put up a shot. For example, the boy and the girl have to come running toward each other. He’ll come and tell me, ‘I am thinking that they should run and meet each other.’ I would be like ‘We just did that in this shot and you are saying that you are thinking of doing it’ (laughs)! So the moment he'd be like ‘I am thinking…’, I’d tell him, ‘You please don’t think. You sit down’!”

 

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is directed by Karan Johar and stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra.

 

When asked about her funniest moments on the set in these 30 years, Farah Khan replied, “There are many. As I said, Karan has fallen on me. Most of my funny incidents happen with him only. I don’t know why. During the shoot of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) in Scotland, there was a ghost in my hotel room. So I ran to his room. He said it was my excuse to sleep in his room (laughs)! I was like, ‘Yeah, right’!”
