EXCLUSIVE: "Music companies are looking for second Arijit Singh, I hear it all the time" - says Shaan on people trying to copy or sound like Arijit

Bollywood singer Shaan recently experimented with a different genre- sufi rock for his recently released track Rang Le. The 49-year-old singer shared his thoughts on how the new comers and young singers are try to copy and sound like Arijit Singh.

In a recent exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, the Chaar Kadam singer said, “When there’s trend going on, people just without thinking try to hop onto it. I think Arijit grabbed a little bit of few artists like Atif (Aslam) and others. He was with Pritam recording a lot of voices, so he has watched them really closely and has been able to pick up. He very intelligently created his style and seen a lot of success with it.”

 

“Now what happens is that since that is working and he is not as available so music companies are now looking for a second Arijit Singh. I hear it all the time everyone who might sing any other way wants to sound and sing like him,” he added.

 

Shaan also talked about his songs ‘Bom Billi’ and ‘RangLe’. He says that ‘Bom Billi’ has got club vibes. He further talked about Sonu Nigam getting Padma Shri award and says that he deserves all the accolades. On the work front, Shaan’s collaborative single ‘Bom Billi’ featuring DELSOL was released on February 1.
