EXCLUSIVE: Anil Sharma on issues with Ameesha Patel, “She has some attitude and becomes tedhi-medhi at times”

Filmmaker Anil Sharma’s Gadar 2 has become a historic blockbuster, just like its predecessor, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001); both the films star Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma. But before the release of the second film, Sharma and Ameesha had some issues with each other. During an exclusive video interview with Bollywood Hungama, Sharma was asked about the current status of his relation with Ameesha.

He said, “Hota rehta hai kuchh. My relations never get spoilt with anyone. There were some issues, then they got solved and so on. This is the nature of Ameesha ji. Some issues had cropped up with her during the making of the first Gadar as well. Woh bade ghar ki bitiya hai (she is from an influential family). So, she has some attitude.”

 

He added, “But she has a good heart. It’s just that sometimes she gets that attitude because of her background. We are from a small family, so we don’t have such attitude. We live our lives with love. She also does that. But she has some attitude and becomes tedhi-medhi at times. But she is a very good human being. I have no misunderstandings with her.”

 

 

Before the release of Gadar 2, Ameesha had also accused Sharma of not clearing certain dues of some crew members. When this was pointed out to Sharma, he said, “What dues? Zee are the ones who give payments. What have I got to do with it?”
