Diljit Dosanjh, A.R. Rahman & Imtiaz Ali reunite for Kya Kamaal Hai after Amar Singh Chamkila success
Two years after the success of Amar Singh Chamkila, Diljit Dosanjh, A. R. Rahman, Imtiaz Ali, and Irshad Kamil have reunited for a new track titled Kya Kamaal Hai from their upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga. The song, described as a “song of hope,” is set to release soon and has already begun generating interest following the release of its behind-the-scenes glimpse.
The collaboration marks the return of a creative team that previously delivered a widely appreciated soundtrack, raising expectations for their latest project. Set against the backdrop of the partition era, Kya Kamaal Hai draws from a narrative of enduring love that survives loss and separation, positioning it as an emotionally driven composition.
A recently released making video offers insight into the creative process behind the track, showcasing studio sessions and interactions between the team. The visuals highlight the collaborative dynamic between Rahman’s composition, Irshad Kamil’s lyrics, and Diljit’s vocals, all shaped within Imtiaz Ali’s storytelling framework. Main Vaapas Aaunga continues to build anticipation following its teaser, with the film exploring themes of love, longing, and identity. The project features a cast that includes Naseeruddin Shah, Sharvari Wagh, and Vedang Raina alongside Diljit Dosanjh.
With Kya Kamaal Hai, the makers aim to deliver a track rooted in emotion and history, further building momentum for the film’s release.
