Bigg Boss 20: Saqib Saleem, Snehil Dixit Mehra extend support to Asif Khan after clash with Qazi Touqeer over heart attack remark
Actor Saqib Saleem and actress Snehil Dixit Mehra have extended their support to Bigg Boss 20 contestant Asif Khan following his heated confrontation with fellow housemate Qazi Touqeer over a remark about a heart attack.
The altercation began when Qazi jokingly said, “Mujhe dil ka daura aa raha hai” during a conversation with Mahhi Vij after she called him “boring” during a nominations task. Asif, who had previously spoken about a health scare, appeared to take the remark personally, leading to an argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Asif headbutted Qazi during the clash.
Amid the backlash surrounding the incident, Saqib Saleem and Snehil Mishra took to social media to express their support for Asif.
Saqib Saleem shares a supportive note for Asif Khan
Saqib Saleem shared a note on social media, addressing Asif directly and expressing pride in his journey. The actor acknowledged the physical and mental challenges Asif had faced, encouraging him to remain confident despite the controversy.
His note read, “Asif mere bhai . We know your truth . Keep your head high . You have gone through so much in life physically n mentally to be where you are . Proud of you”
Snehil Dixit Mehra calls for empathy amid the controversy
Actress Snehil Dixit Mehra also voiced her support for Asif through an Instagram Story. Highlighting the importance of sensitivity when discussing someone's health, she said humour should not come at the expense of another person's struggles.
Her note read, “You can make people laugh without making someone's health struggles the joke. Entertainment should never come at the cost of empathy.Stay strong Aasif, we're rooting for you!”
For the unversed, Asif appeared to connect the comment with his own past health scare. In 2025, he was hospitalised after experiencing chest pain. While the incident was widely reported as a heart attack at the time, Asif later clarified that he had experienced gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which can cause symptoms resembling a heart attack, and said he was fine.
The disagreement intensified as both contestants exchanged remarks, with Asif telling Qazi that he, too, could suffer a heart attack. The argument eventually turned physical when Asif headbutted Qazi.
