Big B felicitates youngest kids to climb Mount Everest
The exceptionally talented students of the prestigious The Lawrence School, Sanawar, which is alma mater to noted personalities such as Sanjay Dutt, Apoorva Lakhia, Bunty Walia amongst others, have achieved a tremendous feat: that of being the youngest people to climb Mount Everest.
Big B felicitates youngest kids to climb Mount Everest
The school which is located near Chandigarh is one of Asia's oldest schools and seven of its students have created a record of the phenomenal advent of reaching the top of Mount Everest. The seven students recently met with none other than global icon and superstar Mr Amitabh Bachchan who not only warmly felicitated them praising their achievements, but gifted them with personally autographed copies of his book 'To Be Or Not To Be' as well!
The dreams of the seven shining stars came true when they met up with Big B at his Juhu office and Mr. Bachchan also personally congratulated the School Principal on the remarkable achievement
The students Fateh Singh Brar, Prithvi Singh Chahel, Ajay Sohal, Haqiqat Singh Garewal, Shubham Kaushik, Raghav Juneja and Gori Badet Singh are the youngest kids in the world to climb Mount Everest, a journey that took them 60 days to achieve. Their base camp was Kumbu in Nepal and they spent 8 months training for the climb. In fact the last phase of the climb took a nonstop 26 hours.
After the stupendous record, they keenly wished to meet Mr. Bachchan and their wish came true as he expressed effusive pride and joy in their feat. Also present to congratulate the students and their laurels were Director Apoorva Lakhia and Bunty Walia, alumni of the Lawrence School.
