Alfia Jafry on what makes her role in The Pyramid Scheme impactful, “My character isn't just part of the story, she drives it in many ways.”

Actor Alfia Jafry recently made her OTT debut with the web series The Pyramid Scheme, in which she plays a role she describes as central to the narrative. Speaking about the project, Jafry said her character’s agency was the key factor that drew her to the role.

“My character isn’t just part of the story; she drives it in many ways. That’s what drew me to the role instantly. I was looking for something where the character has agency, where she isn’t just reacting but actively shaping the narrative,” said Jafry.

 

She further elaborated on what the role represents for her as a debut project. “As an actor, you want your first project to say something about you, and this character does that for me. She’s layered, she’s complex, and she brings a certain intensity to the story that I found very exciting to explore,” Jafry added.

 

Jafry said she invested considerable effort in understanding the nuances of the character and bringing authenticity to her performance.

 

The TVF drama series The Pyramid Scheme, created by Shreyansh Pandey, directed by Ashish R Shukla and Shreyansh Pandey, and written by Akshendra Mishra, is now streaming exclusively on Prime Video in Hindi across India and over 240 countries and territories worldwide following its premiere on June 5, 2026.

 

The show stars Paramvir Singh Cheema, Ranvir Shorey, Shekhar Suman, Aanjjan Srivastav, Alfia Jafry, and Ashish Raghava in lead roles, with Akhilendra Mishra, Smita Bansal, Vijay Kumar, Indresh Malik, Ravi Bhel, Sushant Singh, Sonal Jha, and Sadanand Patil in pivotal roles.
