Adipurush final trailer launch: Kriti Sanon calls co-star Prabhas “darling”; says, “I couldn't imagine anyone else play Raghav”

In a momentous celebration, director Om Raut, producer Bhushan Kumar and actors – Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage along with dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir and music director Ajay-Atul launched the highly anticipated final trailer of Adipurush at Tirupati. At the event, Kriti shared her thoughts on her co-star Prabhas, and also clarified a prevalent misconception that people often hold about Prabhas.

During the grand unveiling of the final trailer, Kriti Sanon expressed her utmost regard for Adipurush. She emphasized that only few actors have the opportunity to embody a character as extraordinary as Janaki throughout their entire careers. Thus, Kriti felt immense joy and gratitude for being bestowed with the chance to portray this role within just 9 years of her professional journey.

 

Talking about co-star Prabhas, Kriti said, “So I was told that Prabhas doesn't talk too much. But that isn't true at all. He talks a lot. And he genuinely is a darling, he is a sweetheart, he is someone who is just very warm, very sweet, very hardworking and a big foodie. We all know that. But mujhe hamesha laga unki aankhon mein jo calmness hai na. Ek calmness, ek purity which is there. I couldn't imagine anyone else play Raghav.”

 

Kriti also expressed gratitude towards her family. She said, “They are the reason I’m here today, they’re the reason I could follow my dream. They are the reason I could be in front of so many people and get so much love and they have been my constants.” She also thanked the audience for giving them so much love.

 

Talking about the film, directed by Om Raut, Adipurush will be making its international premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York on June 13, 2023. Produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, it is scheduled to release worldwide on June 16, 2023.
