24 to stream again: Anil Kapoor’s thriller set for JioHotstar release
The action thriller series 24, headlined by Anil Kapoor, is set to return to screens as it gears up for a digital re-release on JioHotstar. The show, which marked a significant shift in India’s long-format storytelling space, will be available for streaming starting April 24, with eight episodes scheduled to drop every Friday.
Originally noted for its real-time narrative format, 24 built an audience base for its fast-paced storytelling, structured plotlines, and high production values. The series maintained a consistent sense of urgency, making it a recognisable title among viewers of genre-driven thrillers.
The return of the show comes as audiences continue to engage with thriller and high-intensity content, adding context to its re-release on the platform. With both seasons set to stream, the series is likely to reach both existing viewers and those discovering it for the first time.
Sharing his thoughts on the show’s comeback, Anil Kapoor said, “I’ve played many intense and action-driven roles over the years, but 24 was never just another show for me, it was an adrenaline rush like no other. The pace, the pressure, and the real-time storytelling pushed me to stay constantly on edge, both as an actor and as a storyteller.
