Pushpa: The Rise surpasses Bahubali – The Beginning; becomes 9th all-time highest 5th week grosser

The dark horse at the box office last month, Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 has continued to do business well into the New Year. After opening on a sluggish note the Hindi dubbed version of the film which received positive reviews witnessed immense growth in business as the weeks progressed. In fact, the collections of the film saw its third week business peak, with higher figures being registered as compared to the previous weeks. Now in its fifth week running the business of Pushpa has begun to show signs of slowing down.

In this box office report we take a look at the fifth week collections of Pushpa: The Rise while comparing the same to previous releases that have made it to their fifth week running. Collecting Rs. 7.06 cr. the business of Pushpa has managed to surpass the collections of Bahubali – The Beginning that collected Rs. 6.09 cr. to become the 9th all-time highest fifth week grosser.

 

Though leading the list are other releases like Uri - The Surgical Strike that collected Rs. 18.90 cr., Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion that collected Rs. 11.78 cr., Tanhaji - The Unsung Warrior that collected Rs. 10.41 cr., 3 Idiots that collected Rs. 9.56 cr., Dangal that collected Rs. 8.95 cr., Kabir Singh that collected Rs. 8.10 cr., Badhaai Ho that collected Rs. 8 cr., and Padmaavat that collected Rs. 7.54 cr., Pushpa that still continues to run is expected to fare better in its sixth week.

 

In fact, as per predictions, Pushpa:  The Rise that has collected Rs. 91.81 cr. till date is likely to inch closer to the Rs. 100 cr mark. Trade estimates state that the business of Pushpa will continue to remain stable in its sixth week, with a high chance of closing the gap to the coveted Rs. 100 cr target.
