Box Office: Tumhari Sulu is the sole film in the running

 

Tumhari Sulu is the only film in the running this week as it brought in Rs. 1.67 crore more on Wednesday. The film is sustaining well, albeit on the mid-levels, and that is ensuring a green zone on the cards. With Rs. 18.23 crore in its kitty already, the Suresh Triveni directed film is comfortably going past the coverage mark and now it has to be seen how much further up it eventually finds itself in the Box Office tagging.Box Office: Tumhari Sulu is the sole film in the running

 

There isn't any other Hindi film that is finding audience as Aksar 2 is playing at lower levels whereas Golmaal Again is hovering around just the Rs. 10 lakh mark. Qarib Qarib Singlle and Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana have not really sustained themselves in the second week whereas Julie 2 would be the sole Hindi release on this Friday. That makes the ground clear for Tumhari Sulu to keep fetching some sort of footfalls. The film will go past the lifetime numbers of Lipstick Under My Burkha [Rs. 19.25 crore] today and that would be one milestone crossed. Post that it would be Begum Jaan lifetime [Rs. 20.75 crore] tomorrow and that would be followed by Phillauri [Rs. 27.50 crore], each of these being women-centric films.
