Box Office: Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat collects Rs. 8 crores on Day 2

The Milap Milan Zaveri directed Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has recorded a strong hold in collections on the second day, dropping by only 15 percent. According to early estimates, the Harshvardhan Rane starrer has collected Rs. 8 crores on the second day, taking the two-day total collections to Rs. 18.90 crores. The solid hold has come all across the board, and this consolidates the successful tag for the film.

The youth in mass belts seem to have taken to the film, which has resulted in a lower-than-expected drop. The film has faced showcasing issues with near-zero release in single screens in the mass belts, and the limited showcasing has helped it sustain better on the second day, as there is more audience than the number of shows.

 

The film is certain to hit the Rs. 45 crore mark over the 6-day extended Diwali period, and will emerge a HIT in the long run. The movie is turning out to be the surprise package this Diwali, as it has surpassed all expectations to emerge as a winner.

 

In-fact, the film faced challenges in release too, and has managed to withstand that. The goodwill of Sanam Teri Kasam has played a role in bringing the audience for Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
