Waiter arrested for threatening Madhuri Dixit Nene

With the increasing number of threat and extortion calls to the rich and famous, many Bollywood celebrities too are at the receiving end of the crime. The recent celebrity to fall prey to such a call was Madhuri Dixit Nene.

 

Madhuri Dixit Nene who has returned to Mumbai for good, after staying in US for long, made a comeback to showbiz. The actress became a victim of controversy after she was threatened by a man for extortion recently. A waiter named Praveen Kumar Pradhan was arrested by the police for the crime. According to the officials, the alleged criminal had sent four text messages to the actress asking her to pay a whopping amount and threatening her to kill her kids if she didn't abide by his demands. While the accused confessed his crimes, he further stated to the police that he is a gang member of a popular don.

On the other hand, police are further investigating the case and verifying the statements of the accused. We also hear that the accused was working as a waiter in a restaurant. It is also being said that this is not the first extortion threat Praveen is involved in and he has done this before to many other Bollywood celebrities.

 

Madhuri Dixit Nene made a comeback with Dedh Ishqiya and Gulaab Gang and she is currently busy with endorsements.
