Unns music launch- a unique event

On 1st March'06 Delhi witnessed a rare blend of Film and Politician personality coming together to launch the Music of Bhupendra Gupta's Film "UNNS" (Love Forever), a Musical love Story at JAM Multiplex, Sipra Mall in Delhi. Union Minister for Finance Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal, Smt. Priya Dutt M.P. and Shri Mukul Wasnik General Secretary, All India Congress Committee along with the lead actors of "UNNS" Sanjay Kapoor, Rituparna Sengupta, Sudanshu Pandde, music Director Sujit Shetty and lyricist Shaheen Iqbal participated in the music release of this film. Welcoming the guests, Author and Director Bhupendra Gupta of "UNNS" urged the Finance Minister to rethink on the budget provision for Entertainment Industry and decrease the Entertainment and other taxes to help curb Piracy. He said that the main reason for piracy is the huge price gap between the Legal and Pirated copies of CD's, VCD's etc. With the reduction of taxes, this gap is likely to be reduced discouraging the pirates from duplication business. Smt. Priya Dutt MP wholeheartedly supported the cause. Being herself a part of the film fraternity, she promised to take up this issue in the ongoing budget session of the Parliament but nevertheless requested the Finance Minister present to accept the legitimate Demand of the Film Industry. Mr. Gupta also announced a bonanza, unheard in the history of Indian Music Industry by releasing the film's music simultaneously on their website www.unns.in where the music of the film could be downloaded free of cost.
