Subhash Ghai signs Rishi Kapoor for next

The showman of Bollywood, Subhash Ghai has reportedly signed on Rishi Kapoor to essay the lead antagonist in his next venture. This venture will mark Ghai's and Rishi's coming together after their 1980 film Karz, as well as Ghai's return to directing after a gap of four years, post his films Black & White and Yuvraaj which released in 2008.

 

Confirming the news, Ghai says, "Yes, I have signed on Rishi for my next film. He will be playing a khalnaayak with a strong interest in music. In fact he will not be a conventional villain that you see on screen." As for the music of the film, Ghai has roped in Ismail Durbar to develop the score, while the lead actress of the film is yet to be finalized.

The yet untitled film will be officially announced on October 24, marking the anniversary of Mukta Arts. "My film with Rishi will be announced on Oct 24, as it will be the anniversary of Mukta Arts, and what better way is there than to celebrate the anniversary than by announcing a film with the same actor with whom Mukta Arts made its first film!", says Ghai.

 

So where does this put his mega project planned with Salman Khan. "I will start my film with Salman only when I have finished with this one, which will be sometime next year."
