Saathiya not to be premiered on TV:

In a press release addressed to this writer, Yash Raj Films P. Ltd. have clarified that SAATHIYA will not be premiered on television. There have been misleading reports in some publications that SAATHIYA would be premiered as a television film. SAATHIYA will get a wide theatrical release in the normal Yash Raj Films tradition. Satellite rights will be finalized only after the theatrical release of the film, the press release states. Meanwhile, Saregama Ltd. will release the music of the film on October 29. A remake of Tamil hit ALAI PAYUTHE, the film has music by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Gulzar. A Yash Raj Films presentation, SAATHIYA is produced by Bobby Bedi, directed by Mani Ratnam's assistant Shaad Ali and features Rani Mukherji and Vivek Oberoi in the lead.
