Rajat Mukherjee to direct Sonu:

Bollywood has a plethora of stories about producers and financers losing all their money because of the bombing of a film. Though not as drastic, but the story of Vinod Bachchan is somewhat similar. Bachchan, the producer of Rain, has gone to great lengths to produce this film. So much so, that he was compelled to mortgage his house in order to release the film. But in an industry where relationships change every Friday, no one cares! And why should they? The lead actress of the film Meghna Naidu has complained to the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers about the non-payment of her promised remuneration. Of the Rs.4 lakh due to Meghna, only half the amount has been paid to her. Bachchan justifies his stand by stating that the film has been released on commission and he hasnt been paid by any distributor. He has told the Association that he will pay Meghna the entire amount if the film is successful.
