Film critic cum director Khalid Mohamed has started work on his new project, titled TEHZEEB. The director of FIZA has assembled an impressive star cast for his new film, which is expected to go on the floors by the end of this month. So far, Khalid has finalised Shabana Azmi, Urmila Matondkar, Diya Mirza, Diana Hayden, Arjun Rampal and Rishi Kapoor (in sp. app.) to enact pivotal characters in the movie.
However, Khalid denies that the film is inspired by Ingmar Bergman's Swedish film AUTUMN SONATA. My film deals with the relationship between a woman and her two daughters. It's not inspired by any film, he clarifies, TEHZEEB is more of an emotional drama. Meanwhile, A.R. Rahman has already recorded five songs for the film. Santosh Sivan is the cinematographer.
