Kangna Ranaut's lawyer denies reports of actress being summoned again on April 7

Besides the varied allegations, denials and so on, the legal battle of Hrithik Roshan and Kangna Ranaut has also been subjected to varied speculations. Recent reports claimed that the actress along with her sister Rangoli as a prime witness was once again summoned by the Cyber Crime division on April 7 to record their statements over an FIR filed by Hrithik Roshan a few days ago. In fact, these reports also claimed that the Ranauts were given only two days of time to visit the police station after they receive the letter.

 

However, denying this, Kangna Ranaut's lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui decided to put forward his version of the story. According to his recent statement in a leading daily, the Ranauts haven't received any kind of mails (e-mail or hand delivered) from the Cyber Cell division about any details of date, time and place for the said recording of statement.

Earlier, we had also reported that Rizwan mentioned about the Ranauts requesting a copy of an FIR and Hrithik Roshan's complaint as the concerned party after they were summoned by the police on April 1. And now, the lawyer stated that the department has failed to act upon it and that a complaint has also been filed against the Senior Inspector under section 25 of the Bombay Police Act 1950 (Punishment for members of the subordinate rank of the Police Force departmentally for neglect of duty). Also responding to the rumours with sources alleging that the Ranauts may not be entitled to a copy of the FIR, Rizwan added that the police has to mention the same during his official communication with them and cannot react to 'sources' who claim these to the media regarding the matter. The lawyer also asserted that both Kangna and her sister are ready to co-operate and will record their statements as soon as they receive a response from the Cyber Cell division. He also assures that no letter has been sent to Kangna Ranaut from the police department between April 2 to April 9 (noon) regarding the same.

 

The Hrithik - Kangna legal battle which kick started after the two filed legal notices against each for defamation, took a new turn, when Hrithik Roshan reportedly alleged that an impostor has been talking to the actress under his name with a fake id. However, while Kangna's name was protected in the FIR filed by Hrithik Roshan with the Cyber Crime Cell in December 2014, Junior Roshan apparently revealed her name in a new FIR filed by him a few days ago. Post that, Kangna Ranaut was summoned by the police to record her statement in the case along with her sister Rangoli as a prime witness for the same.
