Ekta and Bejoy join hands to make a quirky comedy

After joining hands with Karan Johar for a co-production, Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures will now be collaborating with Bejoy Nambiar for a co-production.

 

The film in question is a quirky youth based comedy titled Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi and will be directed by debutant director Aman Sachdeva. Enacting the lead role of Kuku Mathur will be newcomer Siddharth Gupta while the leading lady will be played by ex- Miss India Simran Kaur Mundi (who debuted with Jo Hum Chahein).

Confirming the same, Tanuj Garg (CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures) said, "Yes we are happy to collaborate with Bejoy on Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi. It's an out and out quirky comedy set in Delhi and one of the most entertaining scripts that we've come across in recent times. We completely believed in the director and Bejoy's conviction. The director Aman Sachdeva is a National award winning ad film maker and the film mostly comprises of a fresh cast headed by Siddharth Gupta and Simran Kaur Mundi."

 

Tanuj further added, "The film is already in production and we are looking at releasing it on 22 February 2013."
