The one music thats still selling like hot cakes is that of AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE and although the film met with a mixed response from moviegoers, 21-year-old Aaditya Datt has three prestigious films under his belt already. Aaditya, who assisted Mahesh Bhatt, Vikram Bhatt and Tanuja Chandra before making his directorial debut with AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE, feels that the film has made money for its producer [Balabhai] and distributors. Its a paying proposition in most territories. Besides, Id promised the producer that Id complete the film in 37 days and within x budget and I lived up to my word, he tells me. Post AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE, Aaditya has been signed by Balabhai, Gordhan Tanwani [ISHQ, DULHAN HUM LE JAAYENGE, TAARZAN] and music company T-Series to direct their forthcoming ventures. I want to experiment with various genres, but I dont subscribe to art house/serious cinema. Whod want to spend Rs. 100 for a film and get depressed in return? he asks. True! The first project to roll will be Balabhais film, which will star Emraan Hashmi and a new girl, who is currently under finalization. Its a love story with action in generous doses, the grand-son of legendary lyricist Anand Bakshi reveals. Himesh Reshammiya, who composed the songs of AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE, will score the music in this film as well. Meanwhile, the producer and distributors of AASHIQ BANAYA AAPNE have decided to incorporate the two songs that were eventually cut on the editing table, from the Diwali week. The first song, Dilnashi, will be placed soon after the interval, while the remix version of the title track [filmed on music director Himesh Reshammiya] will run on the end credits.
