After Bachchan Jr. won accolades for his work in ZAMEEN [the b.o. collections are rock-steady at several centres in its second week] and Bachchan Sr. got amazing reviews for his performance in BAGHBAN, comes the news that the Bachchans have decided to re-launch their production plans. Here's breaking news! The Big B is all geared to launch a new film RAJVEER amidst a star-studded gathering on October 11, celebrating his birthday in style. Starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek Bachchan in lead roles, the film will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. It's a hard-hitting film with good doses of action, Santoshi tells me, All three characters have roles of substance. Incidentally, Amitabh and Abhishek will enact their real-life roles of father and son in RAJVEER as well. Also, Sanjay Dutt is not playing an anti-hero. It's an original subject, not a remake of a South film or an English one, Santoshi clarifies. Anjum Rajabali and Santoshi are writing the script jointly! Preparations for the colossal event are on and the impressive invites are being sent across!
