Director Mahesh Bhatt will produce a film on the life of Abdul Karim Telgi, prime accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam.
Bhatt was quoted as saying that he was inspired after reading newspaper reports about Telgi squandering as much as Rs 93 lakh on a bar dancer. Irfan Khan will play the lead role in the untitled film to be directed by Pooja Bhatt. The shooting will be wrapped up in a period of 45 days and will be released at the time of the Lok Sabha elections.
