An evening to remember:

The music release of BAS ITNA SA KHWAAB HAI on April 30 at Hotel Sun-N-Sand was an emotional affair. The evening marked the completion of 30 long years of Universal (earlier Polydor) and Rose Movies, founded by the late Ramesh Behl. The occasion also marked the music release of Goldie Behl's directorial debut BAS ITNA SA KHWAAB HAI. An audio visual, depicting the journey of Rose Movies, starting with THE TRAIN, brought memories of a production house which delivered musical gems one after another. The Bachchans, close friends of the Behls, were present on the occasion and so were Sanjay Khan with family, Jeetendra, Hrithik Roshan with wife Suzanne, Bobby Deol and the late Ramesh Behl's dearest friend, Randhir Kapoor. The most touching moment was Mrs. Madhu Ramesh Behl, with moist eyes, accepting a memento from Vijay Lazarus of Universal. When asked to speak on the occasion, the elegant lady spoke from her heart, "Like all parents, mera bhi sirf ek hi khwaab hai. I want all my children to be successful." Abhishek too got emotional when asked to comment on his childhood friend's debut film. "I was 5 and Goldie was 6 when we decided we'd make a film together some day. With BAS ITNA SA KHWAAB HAI, we have realised our dream." Excerpts from the songs of the film were screened for the guests. The unanimous reaction was, the songs are stylish and have a modern-day feel to woo the audiences. Srishti, Goldie's sister, who has handled the production of the film, was nervous and excited at the same time. "We've worked so hard on the film. Just pray it works," she tells us. For the Behls, a new journey has just begun. Let's hope they realise every khwaab their eyes dream!
