After 'Tango Charlie', it's a comedy

After handling a serious issue like insurgency and the role of Border Security Forces in fighting terrorism in TANGO CHARLIE, director Mani Shankar is all set to attempt a comedy film next. It's more of a family entertainer, with ample doses of comedy and adventure, Mani called to inform me of his forthcoming project. Please elaborate. I don't subscribe to the banana-peel humour. The comedy in the film is something that'll stay with the viewer even after the show has ended, he says. Mani has already completed scripting this solo-hero film and also found a topnotch production house to back it up - Pritish Nandy Communications. What about the star cast? Has he zeroed on anyone so far? Well, we've bounced off the idea to some actors, but it's premature to talk about it since there's nothing official yet. Hopefully, a clear picture should emerge in a week or two, Mani divulges. The project, he adds, should roll in a month from now!
