When she isn’t lighting up the silver screen with her versatile roles, towering acting prowess and stunning beauty, Deepika Padukone spruces up the style quotient with her monochrome vibes. While her love for monochrome ensembles isn’t new, we love how the diva constantly revisits the trusty style, adds a twist and elevates the sartorial bar. Be it a casual airport look, promotional style or red carpet, Deepika Padukone and her penchant to pull off those solid hues, conspired in tandem with her go-to stylist Shaleena Nathani is remarkable. For the recently concluded Hello! Hall Of Fame Awards 2018, Deepika chose the classic white as her go-to colour but adding oodles of drama all whilst keeping other elements muted, she aced the subtle monochrome for the umpteenth time.

Deepika Padukone has traversed a long way from her modelling days to garnering global accolades in 2017. Leaving no stone unturned to claim what’s rightfully hers; Deepika Padukone clinched the numero uno position, once again with her powerful performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Padmaavat that also raked the big moolah. Additionally, her recent experimental streak on fashion and its varied chapters met with some backlash from the fashion pundits. But taking it all in her stride, here’s how she threw us a curveball.

Deepika Padukone – Monochrome Love

Shinning bright in a Falguni and Shane Peacock white gown featuring a dangerous plunge, balloon sleeves, a metallic belt and a trail, Deepika was certainly a vision to behold.

She topped off the look with a side-parted slick hairdo, courtesy hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou and a minimal makeup that accentuated her doe-shaped eyes and nude pink lips, courtesy makeup artist, Anil C. Flaunting décolletage with that stunning plunge, we loved Deepika’s subtle power play and her affair with the dramatic sleeves. Allowing her dress to take centre stage, keeping the other elements muted but visibly distinct, Deepika aced the red carpet sartorial vibe. Not that we are complaining, but a softer hairdo would have tendered the look a bit and would have been a refreshing change from her repetitive hairdos.

She will also be seen fulfilling her commitments as the brand ambassador for the cosmetic giant, L’Oreal at the Cannes International Film Festival 2018.
