Amitabh Bachchan cleans Versova Beach and shows his support towards the cleanliness drive : Bollywood News

When it comes to the much talked about Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan , many celebrities have come forward to show their support in many ways and megastar Amitabh Bachchan too has been an active participant of this drive. One part of the campaign also includes the cleaning of beaches in the city of Mumbai and recently Mr. Bachchan was seen extending his support for the same.

In fact, the 74 year old actor was recently seen cleaning the Versova Beach and lending a helping hand to Afroz Shah who has taken it upon himself to kick start the Versova beach cleaning drive. In fact, talking about the experience on social media, Amitabh Bachchan not only shared photos by also wrote, “On Versova Beach to meet Afroz Shah, who is working a miracle in its clean up ! Truly inspiring !!” Moreover, the actor was also seen working there by cleaning up the beach along with the rest of the volunteers.

Also, Amitabh Bachchan went on to appreciate Afroz’s efforts behind taking up this drive on his blog thereby spreading more awareness on the campaign. “I rise at 6 in the morning to visit the Versova Beach, in Mumbai, where one man .. ONE MAN .. has taken it upon himself, individually, self motivated to, clean up this beach which is no longer a beach but a garbage site ..At every high tide, especially during the monsoons the Sea throws up and back to the beach, what you and I have thrown into the depths of the sea .. it is impossible to imagine what the extent of the muck and garbage you witness .. and it is so inspirational to find this one man crusade working at this cleaning up process and bringing an awareness and results to the city and to the entire world indeed ..”

While Amitabh Bachchan was seen working tirelessly, the actor also went on to offer further assistance to Afroz in the form of providing earthmover or tractor which will make the process easier.
