Farah Khan and Akshay Kumar recently revisited memories from the making of Tees Maar Khan during a conversation held to promote the OTT release of Bhoot Bangla on Netflix. The discussion also featured director Priyadarshan and actor Rajpal Yadav, and one particular anecdote about Akshay's daily commute to the film's set left everyone amused.

Recalling the shoot of the 2010 comedy, Farah revealed that most of the cast and crew stayed near the filming location in Malshej Ghat because of the long distance from Mumbai.
“We were shooting for Tees Maar Khan in Malshej. The call time was 8 am every day. Everyone stayed there because it was about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Mumbai. But Akshay would go home every evening after pack-up and return by 7:45 the next morning,” Farah said.
The statement immediately caught Rajpal Yadav's attention. Curious about how Akshay managed the daily journey, both Farah and Akshay turned towards him and asked, “Bolo kaise?” Rajpal appeared puzzled before Akshay revealed the answer. “I travelled by helicopter,” the actor said, sending the room into laughter.
Farah then shared her reaction from that time. “For the first time in my life, I saw an actor treat a helicopter like a taxi. But to his credit, he was always on time.” Akshay, however, was quick to defend his decision and pointed out that he was one of the film's producers. “But how was it anybody’s problem? I was the producer myself,” he said.
Farah immediately reminded him that she too was producing the film. “And so was I,” she replied. The light-hearted exchange continued when Farah jokingly accused Akshay of spending her money. “Mere saare paise kha gaya,” she said. A visibly surprised Akshay responded, “Main paise kha gaya? You made the most money on that film!”
Interestingly, Tees Maar Khan has continued to remain part of popular culture years after its release. While the film received criticism when it first arrived in theatres, it has gradually developed a cult following, particularly among younger audiences who frequently use scenes and dialogues from the film as memes on social media.
Farah herself recently reflected on the criticism surrounding the film during a podcast appearance. She admitted that the response affected her professionally and mentally at the time. “It puts you on the backfoot for a very long time,” she said, adding that success and failure can both create misleading perceptions in the film industry.
