Bringing to life a pivotal chapter from India’s economic history against the backdrop of the turbulent 1991 financial crisis, the film has already made heads turn through its teaser and trailer.
The makers have now unveiled ‘Jhagmag Jhagmag Jhilmil Jhilmil’, a new track that radiates courage, resilience, and hope. Featuring Manoj Bajpayee and the ensemble cast, the song adds an emotional layer to the film’s inspiring story, reflecting the spirit of determination during challenging times.
‘Jhagmag Jhagmag Jhilmil Jhilmil’ boasts lyrics by legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar, a stirring composition by Amit Trivedi, and soulful vocals by Shashwat Singh, whose heartfelt rendition elevates the song into a moving and uplifting musical experience.

Governor is produced by Sunshine Pictures. The film, directed by Chinmay Mandlekar and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, is co-produced by Aashin A. Shah and features a script by Suvendu Bhattacharyjee, Saurabh Bharat, Ravi Asrani, and Vipul Amrutlal Shah. It features lyrics by Javed Akhtar, with music composed by Amit Trivedi. The movie is set to be released on June 12, 2026.
