Kunal Kemmu has released his second independent track, ‘Nindiyan’, in collaboration with Universal Music India. The new song arrives after the positive response to his debut single ‘Loche’ and showcases a more personal and emotional side of the actor-filmmaker’s creative journey.
Unlike the quirky and upbeat tone of ‘Loche’, which had gained popularity across social media platforms and became widely used on Instagram reels, ‘Nindiyan’ takes a softer and more intimate approach. The song was originally created by Kunal as a lullaby for his daughter during everyday moments at home before eventually being developed into a full-fledged musical composition.
The track revolves around themes of comfort, parenthood and emotional connection, with lyrics and visuals drawing from the quiet bond shared between a parent and child. The song also incorporates imagery inspired by sleep, dreams and nighttime, giving it the feel of a reflective and emotionally driven composition.
Over the years, Kunal Kemmu has gradually expanded his creative portfolio beyond acting. After making his directorial debut and exploring writing and storytelling in different formats, the actor has now continued his musical journey through independent releases.
Speaking about the song, Kunal Kemmu shared, “‘Nindiyan’ came from some of the quietest, most real moments I’ve experienced as a parent. It wasn’t something I set out to write as a song, it was just a feeling that stayed with me. There’s something incredibly pure about the way you comfort your child, the things you hope for them, the dreams you quietly carry. I think that’s what this track holds for me - a small piece of those moments.”
