Prime Video has announced the exclusive global streaming premiere of the Telugu action-thriller Dacoit: Oka Prema Katha, which will be available on the platform starting May 8, 2026. The film will stream in Telugu, along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, reaching audiences in India and across more than 240 countries and territories.
Directed by Shaneil Deo and produced by Supriya Yarlagadda under the banner of Annapurna Studios, the film features Adivi Sesh, Mrunal Thakur, Anurag Kashyap, and Prakash Raj in key roles.
Set against the backdrop of the pandemic, Dacoit: Oka Prema Katha follows Hari, also known as Romeo, played by Adivi Sesh. His life takes a drastic turn when he is implicated in a murder connected to Saraswati, also known as Juliet, the woman he loves. The charge leads to his imprisonment, but a subsequent escape sets off a chain of events marked by pursuit, confrontation, and unresolved emotions.
As Hari goes on the run, he is chased by an unconventional police officer, portrayed by Anurag Kashyap, while also crossing paths with a powerful and morally ambiguous hospital head played by Prakash Raj. The narrative unfolds in Madanapalle, weaving together elements of action with an emotional storyline centred on love, betrayal, and the search for answers.

Despite the passage of thirteen years within the story, the emotional connection between Hari and Saraswati remains a key driving force. The film explores how past relationships continue to influence present decisions, even during high-stakes conflict.
With its combination of action-driven sequences and an underlying emotional arc, Dacoit: Oka Prema Katha aims to appeal to a wide audience across languages. The digital release will allow the film to reach viewers globally upon its premiere.
The announcement adds to Prime Video’s expanding catalogue of regional cinema, as the platform continues to bring Telugu-language content to international audiences through multi-language accessibility.
