Actor Amrita Rao celebrated 22 years of Main Hoon Na with a nostalgic social media post on April 30, 2026. The actor, who played one of the memorable characters in the film, shared a video montage featuring iconic moments from the much-loved entertainer and reflected on its lasting popularity.
In her message, Amrita Rao described Main Hoon Na as another “cult” film in her career, saying its popularity continues to grow with time. She also praised director Farah Khan, calling her ahead of her time for the vision she brought to the project.
Amrita highlighted several aspects of the film that still stand out more than two decades later. She mentioned the costumes, hairstyles and memorable music, including the song 'Chale Jaise Hawaien.' She especially noted the way the song was conceptualised and executed, describing it as an example of the creative choices that made the film special.
She also looked back at the humour and colourful supporting characters that helped make the movie a fan favourite. In her post, she referred to characters such as Percy, the professor played by Satish Shah, and the teacher portrayed by Bindu, whose comic track with Major Ram remains memorable for many viewers.

Amrita wrote that Main Hoon Na would always remain a film that generations grew up watching and one that continues to hold a special place in people’s hearts. She encouraged followers to share the anniversary reel with someone special and tell them, “Main Hoon Na.”
The post quickly drew attention online, with Red Chillies Entertainment, the banner behind the film, responding in the comments section with a warm message: “Tum sach mein bohot special ho.”
Released in 2004, Main Hoon Na starred Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role and remains one of Bollywood’s most popular commercial entertainers.
