During the Q-and-A session with the media, a journalist complimented Pulkit and remarked that he looked “fit as a fiddle”. The actor humbly replied, “Thank you so much. A lot of hard work and sweat has genuinely gone into it.”
When it comes to boxing on screen, a performance that one instantly remembers is that of Salman Khan in and as Sultan (2016). The journalist asked Pulkit Samrat if he was giving a tough competition to Sultan. Pulkit Samrat answered, “Sultan is the OG inspiration for the entire country. It can never be a competition.” He added, “I really wish I could look like him (Salman Khan) when I am 60 as well (smiles). Nevertheless, I am very happy with that comparison.”
At this point, Pulkit also revealed, “My father is actually here today. He just saw me throwing punches and getting punches!”
Meanwhile, Sayani Gupta praised the young actor, “Pulkit is also the most thoughtful person on the set. Sabko ek saath laa ke khana khilata tha. He's always looking out in spite of being on a really hard, routine regimen. You have seen his body. You have seen how hard he has worked. Yet, he was always mindful of what every person needed on set. It was incredible.”
Glory releases on Netflix on May 1.
