Producer Namit Malhotra has congratulated Ranbir Kapoor after the actor was featured in TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026 list. The two are currently working together on director Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which is planned as a two-part epic. Sharing a photo with Ranbir Kapoor and Nitesh Tiwari on social media, Malhotra reflected on their long association and the actor’s journey over the years.
He wrote: "From watching our fathers share meals and laughter to now, four decades later, coming together to tell one of the greatest epics of all time... it's been quite a journey. I have witnessed your journey closely. The highs, the setbacks, the quiet resilience, and the way you've stayed so grounded through it all, both on and off screen."
He further added, "There was never a doubt in my mind. There is no one better to portray Lord Rama. You are, without doubt, the finest actor of our generation. Being named among TIME's 100 Most Influential People of 2026 feels absolutely deserving. It's great to see the world finally take notice of you and your talent. This is just the beginning, my friend. Malhotra is collaborating with Ranbir Kapoor on Ramayana, which is being produced by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations. The film is planned as a two-part release, with Part 1 scheduled for Diwali 2026 and Part 2 for Diwali 2027 in IMAX worldwide.

Alia Bhatt also reacted to Ranbir Kapoor’s inclusion in the TIME 100 list. She shared his photo from the announcement on her Instagram Stories and wrote: “Looking good baby.” Her response came shortly after the list was announced and added to the congratulatory messages shared by fans and industry colleagues online.
Anticipation around Ramayana has been steadily building, especially after early glimpses connected to the film’s world began circulating online. Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray Lord Rama in the project, which is positioned as a large-scale mythological adaptation.
