Actor Ranbir Kapoor received a custom-made jacket featuring imagery of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir during a fan interaction at a special overseas event for the upcoming epic Ramayana. The moment took place during the New York leg of the film’s promotional interactions, where the actor appeared alongside director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra.

A video from the venue shows a fan presenting Ranbir with the customised jacket carrying visuals inspired by the Ram Mandir and references to Shree Ram. The actor acknowledged the gesture warmly as he continues preparations to portray Lord Ram in what is one of the most closely watched casting choices in recent Indian cinema.

Event followed Ramayana glimpse showcase in Los Angeles
The New York interaction followed an earlier presentation in Los Angeles where the team unveiled the first glimpse of Ramayana to a select audience. At both events, Ranbir Kapoor and Nitesh Tiwari participated in conversations about the scale of the project, its storytelling approach and the responsibility of adapting one of India’s most revered epics for the screen.
During the discussion, Tiwari had spoken about the expectations attached to the role of Lord Ram and the reasons behind casting Ranbir Kapoor in the part. He emphasised that the character required emotional restraint, quiet strength and physical commitment, which shaped the casting decision.
🚨#NiteshTiwari finally speaks out:
"Lord Ram was a man of few words. His love was unbound. His pain could not be seen but it could be felt.. There is nobody better than #RanbirKapoor to portray all these things & manage the expectations of a billion people"#Ramayana pic.twitter.com/2IrweuTNof
