HYBE India has officially announced auditions for a new girl group, marking a significant step in its expansion into the Indian entertainment space. The talent hunt, which began on March 31, 2026, will continue until July 31, 2026, inviting aspiring female performers from across the country to participate.

The audition is open to girls born between 2005 and 2011, who can showcase their skills across a variety of categories including vocals, rap, dance, acting, and modelling. With a focus on individuality and creativity, the initiative aims to identify and nurture talent that can resonate both locally and globally.
According to the company, the decision to launch a girl group is backed by extensive research conducted in collaboration with Nielsen. Drawing insights from a nationwide study of young audiences, along with qualitative research across key Indian cities, HYBE India identified a strong demand for female artists who reflect the aspirations and voices of modern Indian women.
The group is envisioned to embody the theme of “Harmony in Diversity,” showcasing authentic stories while appealing to global audiences. Speaking about the initiative, Damien Woochang Lee, CEO of HYBE India, emphasised the broader vision behind the project. “India has never lacked talent or ambition—what’s been missing is a consistent pathway to the global stage. What we’re building is that bridge: a system that allows us to nurture artists with intention, and to be seen, heard, and understood beyond borders. This audition is where that process begins."

HYBE India has also partnered with several major brands to support participants through the process. Collaborations include Samsung, H&M, Nongshim Shin Ramyun, Shoppers Stop, Snapchat, and BookMyShow.
With more details on city-specific schedules expected soon, the initiative signals HYBE India’s intent to create a structured pathway for Indian talent to enter the global music ecosystem.
