During an interactive session at the event, Ranbir Kapoor reflected on the timeless significance of Lord Ram and the values he embodies. “Lord Ram has been the conscience keeper of billions of people around the globe for centuries and he will continue being so even a long after we've gone. He enlightens us about the triumph of the human spirit in terms of adversities. He stands for compassion, for courage, for righteousness, for forgiveness and he's called Maryada Purushottam which stands for an ideal man”.

The event comes just days ahead of a major Ramayana asset launch scheduled to take place in India on April 2, building anticipation around what is already being described as one of the most ambitious cinematic projects in Indian film history.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra under Prime Focus Studios and Monster Mind Films, Ramayana is envisioned as a two-part mythological epic. Mounted on a massive scale, the film aims to bring the ancient Indian epic to a global audience with cutting-edge visual storytelling.

The star-studded cast features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The film also boasts an ensemble featuring Bobby Deol, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, and Amitabh Bachchan in key roles.

A significant highlight of the project is its music, co-composed by Academy Award winners Hans Zimmer and A. R. Rahman, marking Zimmer’s debut in Indian cinema. The collaboration is expected to deliver a unique blend of global orchestral sound and Indian musical traditions.

With its first installment slated for a Diwali 2026 release and the second part planned for Diwali 2027, Ramayana continues to generate strong buzz, with Kapoor’s latest remarks adding a deeper emotional and philosophical layer to the much-anticipated epic.
