Veteran actor Chiranjeevi took to social media to share an update on his son Ram Charan following a recent injury sustained during the shoot of his upcoming film Peddi. The actor also expressed gratitude to the medical professional who assisted in Charan’s treatment.
“Dr. Sudhakar Prasad garu, Your timely and skilful surgery on Charan’s eyelid has truly been a blessing. What was a moment of concern for us was eased entirely by your precision, care, and expertise. Your craftsmanship made all the difference, and we are truly grateful. Thank you”, he shared on X aka Twitter.

The incident occurred on March 24, 2026, while Ram Charan was filming a high-octane action sequence at Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. According to reports from the set, the actor sustained a minor injury above his left eye during an intense stunt sequence.
He subsequently underwent a minor medical procedure that required four sutures. His team clarified that the injury was not serious, confirming that his vision remains unaffected and that the eye itself is unharmed. The actor is currently recovering well following the treatment. Despite the brief setback, Ram Charan reportedly resumed work with minimal delay, reflecting his professional commitment. While he took a short precautionary break, he is expected to return to filming almost immediately, with the schedule progressing as planned.
The makers have also confirmed that the incident will not impact the film’s timeline. Peddi continues to remain on track for its theatrical release on April 30, 2026.
Adding to the anticipation, the team is preparing to unveil a special action teaser titled ‘Kusthi’ on March 27, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday. The film is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and features an ensemble cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar and Jagapathi Babu. Music for the film has been composed by A. R. Rahman.
With the actor on the road to recovery and the film’s promotions gearing up, fans can expect more updates in the coming days.
