Just a day after the makers of the Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt starrer The RajaSaab unveiled its much-anticipated 2.0 trailer at a grand event attended by the film’s cast, the buzz around the project has only intensified. The new trailer has been receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences, offering a deeper look into the film’s storyline while showcasing striking visuals and intense visual effects that hint at a supernatural narrative.
One of the biggest highlights from the trailer is Sanjay Dutt’s menacing avatar as the main antagonist. His character appears to possess supernatural powers, a revelation that has significantly piqued audience curiosity. Speaking at the trailer launch, Prabhas was all praise for the veteran actor and opened up about the impact Dutt had on him while working on the film. “Sanjay sir... just your screen presence is more than enough. When they put a close-up on you, you completely consume the screen...When I watched his scenes during dubbing, I started forgetting my own scenes,” Prabhas said, drawing loud applause from those in attendance. His remarks underlined the powerful impression Sanjay Dutt’s performance has made, even on his co-stars.
Prabhas also took a moment to appreciate his leading ladies, beginning with Malavika Mohanan, whom he described as “Tall, beautiful, with beautiful eyes,” while praising her strong screen presence. He went on to speak about his other co-stars as well, saying, “Riddhi is the most beautiful, a very good performer”. Talking about Nidhhi Agerwal, the actor added, “Nidhi is everyone's favourite positive character on the set. She does her job, she is calm, nice, and beautiful of course. It is a very rare combination.”
The trailer further suggests that Zarina Wahab will be seen in a pivotal role. Addressing her character and their on-screen relationship, Prabhas shared, “This is a story about a grandmother and grandson. Zarina Wahab has acted wonderfully as the grandmother.” He added, “I became a fan of my on-screen grandmother. In this film, along with me, the grandmother character is also a hero.”
With its blend of supernatural elements, emotional relationships and a formidable antagonist, The RajaSaab is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing upcoming releases. While it was expected to release in 2025, the film now has been scheduled to hit cinemas on January 9 in multiple languages including Hindi.
