Recently, Bollywood Hungama exclusively reported that Tanishk Bagchi of Saiyaara (2025) fame has turned producer with ‘MJF NXT’, a platform for next-gen producers, along with Divyansh Jain and backed by Mahaveer Jain Films. Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, producer Mahaveer Jain spoke highly of Aditya Dhar, the larger purpose of cinema, Tanishk, and a lot more.
Mahaveer Jain began by saying how Dhurandhar has captivated audiences worldwide. He said, “I was recently chatting with Aditya Dhar. I congratulated him on the huge success of his film. He remarked that his film belongs to the entire industry and the country at large. He told me, ‘Every film should be loved like Dhurandhar. And we, as an industry, should love and participate in each other’s success’.”
Mahaveer Jain said that he holds the same belief. He stated, “If we get 10 more creative people who have the viewpoint like Aditya Dhar’s, then imagine where Indian cinema will be.”
The reputed producer confessed, “In the last decade, there have hardly been any new impactful producers that have emerged in our film industry. MJF NXT is committed to introducing many talented producers to the industry. I believe that when the producers are empowered, the ecosystem also gets strengthened. It opens opportunities for new actors, directors, writers, music composers, technicians, etc.”
He remarked, “I feel happy when others are doing well. I strongly believe that there’s no need for competition and jealousy in the industry. Ours is an industry of contribution. We can serve society by providing healthy entertainment. We bring happiness and joy to people’s lives and reduce their stress. This is exactly what Rajshri’s films, and the cinema of Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, represent. They are our true icons.”
When asked about his recent collaboration with Tanishk Bagchi, Mahaveer Jain said, “The more I interact with Tanishk, the more I have to come to realize that he has huge potential. We have not seen even 10% of his talent. And I am saying this despite him delivering the title track of Saiyaara, which is easily the biggest song in the recent past. A R Rahman saab has an abundance of talent in him from the very start. And I feel Tanishk also has the same kind of potential.”
He continued, “Tanishk is now on the path of exploring spirituality and is no longer enamoured with materialistic desires, glamour and fame. Moreover, there’s purity in his thinking; he wants everyone around him to climb the ladder of success. He backs new talents and wants them to excel.”
He added, “He has a good understanding of cinema, that's when I realized that there's a producer hidden in him.”
Mahaveer Jain then also praised Arijit Singh as a filmmaker, who is also working with him on a film. He believes that Arijit will surprise us all with his upcoming film. "Both Tanishk and Arijit are highly talented without doubt, but they are also wonderful human beings. That’s also the reason why they remind us of A R Rahman.”
