Fans of Krystle D’Souza, who have known her since her days in Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, has impressed audiences with her performances in films like Chehre and Visfot. Now, she is stepping into a new realm of mass entertainment with her upcoming film Dhurandhar. The actress features alongside Ranveer Singh in the vibrant dance number ‘Shararat’, which has already grabbed attention for its high-energy choreography and glamorous visual appeal.
Calling the experience ‘exciting and empowering’, Krystle shared that shifting into large-scale dance sequences marks a refreshing evolution in her artistic journey with IANS. “It feels like stepping into a new league,” she said, describing how the song allowed her to showcase a rhythm-driven, expressive side that audiences haven’t seen from her at this scale before.
Reflecting on working with Ranveer Singh, Krystle revealed that the collaboration pushed her to elevate her performance. “When you share the screen with such powerful performers, you automatically level up. The vibe on set was incredible and everyone brought something unique. It feels like we’re part of something really grand and entertaining,” she said. The camaraderie on set, paired with the energetic choreography, contributed to the song’s larger-than-life mood.
The track’s instant appeal was something the team sensed even while filming. “It has the beats, the hook step, the madness so why not? Even during the shoot, we felt that this track has that mass connect. I think people will be dancing to this one for a long time,” Krystle added.
Beyond mainstream cinema, Krystle has also carved a niche for herself in the digital space with First Copy on Amazon and MX Player, where she explored layered and nuanced characters. Her OTT projects have helped her experiment across genres, further sharpening her craft ahead of high-impact roles like the one in Dhurandhar.
Directed and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, the film features a star-studded ensemble including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. Inspired by real-life events, Dhurandhar is set against the backdrop of Operation Lyari — a major crackdown on crime syndicates in Karachi’s Lyari region — blending action, geopolitics and drama.
With ‘Shararat’ already creating buzz, Krystle D’Souza’s latest outing signals a confident new chapter as she steps into bigger spectacles, collaborates with powerhouse performers and embraces roles that reflect her evolving artistic identity.
