The legendary megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, just turned 80 years old today, on October 11. The veteran actor is widely known for his stellar performance in various films. From romantic to comedy to suspense thrillers, there are hardly any genres, which the actor has not explored or excelled at. While Bollywood’s ‘Big B’ is excelling in the acting front, he previously confessed in an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama that he does not know how the box office actually works.

Talking about his response to his 2019 film Badla being received well in the box office, Amitabh said, “I am really bad with numbers, I really don’t know how box office works or what the numbers mean. I keep asking the producers and them [directors]. But if it’s an indication that it’s being appreciated then I am happy for the producer, I am happy for the director... happy with the film.”

Meanwhile, a film festival named ‘Bachchan: Back To The Beginning’ is currently happening at PVR Cinemas. It is organized by the Film Heritage Foundation from October 8 to 11 in 17 cities. As part of this film festival, classic films of Amitabh Bachchan like Don, Kaala Patthar, Kaalia, Kabhie Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony etc. are being screened on the big screen.

While tickets on October 8, 9 and 10 are available for Rs. 150, on the 11th – i.e. today – the tickets are being sold for just Rs. 80.
