Shahrukh Khan The 'Baadshah' of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan underwent a shoulder surgery yesterday at the Breach Candy hospital in South Mumbai. The surgery was necessitated as the actor had sustained a tear in the main muscle in his left shoulder during the shoot of Dulha Mil Gaya. The superstar, whose film Billu released last week, had a successful surgery and will be discharged from the hospital in a couple of days. He has been advised to rest and the time for recuperation would be around six weeks.

The surgery on the 43 year old star's shoulder was performed under the supervision of shoulder specialist Dr. Sanjay Desai using the arthroscopic method. Under this surgical technique, a tube-like instrument is inserted into a joint to inspect, diagnose and repair the torn tissues.

Dr. Desai said that the operation which lasted for one and-a-half hour was immensely successful. Later, he also added that Shah Rukh will be discharged in a day or two, but, he will have to take around four to six weeks to return to work and four to six months to recover completely.

Not the one to take things lying down, Shah Rukh, who also owns IPL team the Kolkata Knight Riders, will be busy with the second season of the IPL that's scheduled to begin in April.
