The makers of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups, starring Yash, have successfully completed one of the most ambitious shooting schedules attempted in Indian cinema. After an intensive 45-day stretch across multiple locations in Mumbai, the team is now preparing for the final leg of filming in Bengaluru, scheduled to begin in the last week of September.
The Mumbai schedule was mounted on an unprecedented scale, packed with high-octane action set-pieces designed under the supervision of renowned Hollywood action director JJ Perry. According to a source close to the production, “The Mumbai schedule was undoubtedly the film’s most challenging and ambitious stretch, featuring some of the biggest and most elaborate action sequences ever attempted in Indian cinema.”
The source further highlighted the collaboration between director Geetu Mohandas’s storytelling and JJ Perry’s action design, with Yash bringing both worlds together. “It was a powerful blend of cinematic disciplines. The main action portions have now been wrapped successfully, and the team is charged up for the concluding schedule,” the insider added.
Following the Mumbai wrap-up on Thursday, Yash is expected to travel to London for key meetings focused on global partnerships for Toxic. The Bengaluru leg will mark the final phase of filming, bringing the project full circle to the city where its journey had originally begun six months ago.
Positioned as a genre-defying spectacle, Toxic blends large-scale action with an emotionally resonant narrative. The project combines Yash’s mass appeal, Geetu Mohandas’s distinct creative vision, and JJ Perry’s globally honed action sensibilities. Produced by Venkat K Narayana’s KVN Productions in association with Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film aspires to set a new benchmark for Indian cinema while retaining strong emotional depth. The film is expected to feature an ensemble cast of female stars including the likes of Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria, among others.
Shot simultaneously in Kannada and English to appeal to both domestic and international audiences, Toxic will also be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam to maximize its reach.
The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026. With its principal photography now in the final stretch, anticipation around Toxic continues to mount as fans await Yash’s return to the big screen in this ambitious global project.
