Vishwambhara: Actress Ashika Ranganath joins Chiranjeevi in this fantasy entertainer : Bollywood News

Fans couldn’t more excited to see Chiranjeevi in another historical avatar as he gears up for Vishwambhara, a socio-fantasy drama directed by Mallidi Vashishta. As per earlier reports, the Telugu megastar has already started work on the film and he is also been joined by popular actress Trisha Krishnan. And now another name has been added to the star cast which is Ashika Ranganath.

On May 24, the popular Kannada actress was welcomed on board by the makers of Vishwambhara in a special social media post where they said, “Welcoming the charming @AshikaRanganath to our EPIC CINEMATIC JOURNEY alongside Megastar @KChiruTweets in the mighty #Vishwambhara” and concluded it with a crystal ball and sparkles emoji. “Brace yourselves for a BLOCKBUSTER EXPERIENCE (video camera emoji) Coming to cinemas on January 10th, 2025”, they added.

Although details of her character were not unveiled, the actress stated in a report that she will not be paired alongside Chiranjeevi. She opened up about her role in a Times of India report, saying, “I am not paired opposite Chiranjeevi sir in my new Telugu film, but I can say that my character travels along with the story, and I am just thrilled to be sharing screen space with such a talented set of artistes”.

Vishwambhara marks the third Telugu film of Ashika Ranganath after Amigos and Naa Saami Ranga. Speaking about her first association with the fantasy genre, Ashika added, “This is the first time I am working on a set like this, which is set against a green mat, and you need to imagine a lot of what will be seen on screen eventually. I am thankful to have someone like Chiranjeevi sir taking time off to explain things to me on set."

With Trisha Krishnan as the leading lady, Vishwambhara will have music composed by the famous M.M. Keeravani and Chota K. Naidu as the cinematographer. The film is slated to release on January 10 in multiple languages.
