Speaking about her actor-husband, Upasana described Ram Charan as a deeply secure individual who constantly encourages her personal and professional growth. She said, “He’s a very secure man—only a truly secure person would support and encourage a woman to achieve more. And that's exactly what he does for me, which I deeply appreciate. I would do the same for him.”

The entrepreneur and wellness advocate emphasized the value of emotional support and quality time in a marriage, revealing the couple's conscious efforts to spend time together despite their hectic schedules. She added, “Our secret sauce is being there for each other, through both the highs and the lows. Spending quality time together, despite our busy schedules, is essential. My mom always emphasized the importance of a weekly date night. At the time, I didn’t fully understand it, but now I see how crucial it is. We try to make it happen as much as possible, and it’s our time—just the two of us, without distractions like the TV.”

She also highlighted their efforts to maintain open communication, even as life throws new challenges their way. “We also make sure to check in with each other regularly, which helps us stay connected. This is something we’ve committed to, and we’re working on making it a more consistent part of our lives. If issues arise, we address them head-on. Communication is an ongoing journey, but it’s a vital part of our relationship, and we’ll continue to nurture it throughout our lives,” she shared.

Offering a unique perspective, Upasana Kamineni Konidela drew parallels between personal and professional goal-setting, suggesting couples should schedule relationship check-ins just like business meetings. “Marriage requires continuous effort—it’s like breathing. You can’t give up. You have to work on it every single day. One thing I’ve realized throughout this journey is that in business, we regularly review our goals. I’ve said this before, but why don’t we do the same in our relationships? Just like we have quarterly board meetings for business, I believe it’s important to have personal check-ins with yourself. Take time to evaluate your personal goals, family goals, and business goals. Once you prioritize them, you’ll be able to allocate time and energy to each area more effectively. You’ll also better understand which season of life demands your attention in different areas. This approach will help you create a more organized, balanced life,” she stated.

The couple, who welcomed their daughter Klin Kaara in 2023, continue to set relationship goals that go beyond glamour — grounded in trust, intentionality, and deep partnership.
